Vyree G. Moore, 92, of Temple, Texas, passed away at her home on Saturday. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 13th at 11 AM at St. James United Methodist Church. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 12th from 5 PM to 7 PM at Don Summers Funeral Home, located at 1630 Martin Luther King Dr., Temple, TX 76504.
Vyree G. Moore was born on August 7, 1931, in Devilla, Texas, to David and Melvinia Willis. She attended public schools in Devilla and Temple, graduating from Dunbar High School in 1949.
Ms. Moore's legacy is one of dedication and faithfulness. She was a devoted member of St. James United Methodist Church, where she served in various roles and ministries, including the United Methodist Women, United Women of Faith, The Board of Trustees, and as a faithful member of the St. James Gospel Choir. Additionally, Ms. Moore was a Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star organization. She held various positions and retired as a nurse from Scott & White Hospital after 17 years of service.
She is survived by her children: Larry Ray, Loydetta Moore, Ronnie Moore, and Kenneth Moore; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
