On October 1, 1982, a beautiful life began with the birth of Shimeka Cherie Taylor in Temple, Texas. On October 1, 2026, the very day she entered this world 44 years earlier, Shimeka’s earthly journey came to an end.

Although her time here was far too short, the love she shared, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will forever remain.

Born and raised in Temple, Texas, Shimeka was a genuine soul who will be remembered for simply being herself. She found joy in life’s simple moments and enjoyed reading the Bible. Her faith was a source of comfort, strength, and peace.

Shimeka was more than a daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a kind heart, a beautiful spirit, and a presence that could light up any room.
