Our beloved, Bill Rickey Parker, was the eighth child born November 29, 1954, in Whitehall , Texas to the late Oliver Delbert(O.D) Parker and Eunice (Gaines) Parker.
He attended Elementary and High School in the Moody Independent School District. He joined the United States Army at age 18, served several years, and was honorably discharged. He was kind hearted, considerate, and always had a deep love and concern for all of his family. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Kell’s Branch United Methodist Church in Whitehall, Texas. Rickey moved from Whitehall to Waco with his mother and younger siblings in 1978. There he met the love of his life , Ms Marilyn Maxwell. They were inseparable for several years. They were rewarded with the apple of their eye, a son Marcus(Jim)Maxwell.
On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, he was called from labor to reward. He ran his race, finished his course, kept the faith, and is now at home with our father. He was preceded in death by his long time companion, Marilyn Maxwell, his parents and five brothers; O.D. Jr(Doll), Ennis(Pobbie), Jackie Joel(Rooster), Jerry(Slick), and Stoney. He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Marcus(Jim) Maxwell Sr; three grandchildren Zaydia Maxwell, Marcus Maxwell Jr, and Jace Maxwell; Four sisters -Jean Drew, Barbara Parker, Sandra Thomas, and Phoebe Watkins; One brother Vickey Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
