Otis Scott, Sr. was born March 10, 1935, to Charlie Scott, Sr. and Evelyn Brown Scott in Granger, Texas. He graduated from Granger Public School.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age in Granger, Texas, and later united with the Judea Baptist Church where he served as an usher and remained a faithful member until death.
Otis joined the United States Air force on July 7, 1965, earned the rank of Staff Sergeant, and retired in 1985 after 20 years of service.
He loved reading and was the Bar-B-Que Pit Master for his family and friends and also loved cooking for the community.
Otis departed this life on June 13, 2024, at the VA Medical Center in Temple, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parent; one sister, Girlie Williams; five brothers, Moses, Robert Louis, Houston, Charlie, and Jessie Scott; and one son, Randy Scott.
He leaves to cherish his memory four sons, Daniel, Dayrl, Charles, and Otis Jr Scott; six grandchildren (including Jasmine whom he much loved), and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
