Michael Troy (Micheal Boy) Shields, Sr.

Michael “Michael-Boy” Troy Shields, Sr. was the fourth child born to Mr. Homer Shields and Mrs. Mae Jimmie Crain Shields on October 19, 1961. Michael attended Oakwood Elementary School and graduated from University High School in 1979. Michael worked as a cook at Luby’s Cafeteria and Baylor University food service department for many years. Michael met his future wife, Tanya Easley, while employed at Baylor.

Micheal was an avid sports fan. He loved and enjoyed watching Baylor athletics the Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Cowboys. The two of them would later unite in matrimony.

Michael lived in South Waco his entire life where he had many dear friends and relationships that he cherished dearly. Many of his South Waco friends called him “Mikieboy.”

Michael’s wife, Tanya Easley Shields, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories sons, Michael Troy Shields, Jr., Corey James Shields, Christopher Glynn (Misti), Anthony Burns (Devenn); Daughter, Sonya Durham (Martin); Brother, Larry Spencer Shields (Toye); Sisters, Carla Denise Shields and Sharon Marie Shields; Sister-in-Law, Regina Easley; Special Relatives and Relationships, Vesta Hawthorne (Bill) Maurea Sherrod Crain, Rickey Garrett, Willie Jean Price, Stephany Williams (Corey), Billie Crain, Miles Adanandus (Kristi), Dexter Adanandus, Lee Ester Hall, Vernessa Glynn Hall, and Stella Sutton
