Meyanna Laquis Adams was born on November 5, 1981 in Paris, Texas. Meyanna’s mother and father, Patricia Ann Wallace and Alfred Martin Wallace, Sr., raised her to be the aesthetic woman, we all knew and loved so very much. She was a shining light in our family, known for her warmth and infectious smile. Throughout her life, she demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience, facing challenges with grace and an unwavering spirit. Meyanna had a passion for nurturing others and brought joy to anyone who had the chance to meet her. Her dedication to family and friends was evident in everything she did, always offering support and encouragement. Meyanna had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and understood.

On July 18, 2005,Meyanna married Clyde Tyrone Adams, Jr., the love of her life, in Killeen, Texas. A partnership built on love, respect, and shared dreams. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home filled with joy. Clyde was not only her life partner but also her greatest supporter, as she was his, and to this union one beautiful daughter was born, Aniyah Antrese Adams on October 5, 2009. As a devoted mother, Meyanna poured her heart and soul into nurturing Aniyah and embracing her hopes and dreams. Meyanna cherished every moment spent with Aniyah and her guidance, wisdom and values will continue to resonate in her daughter’s life.

Meyanna was educated in the Killeen Independent School District. She was a proud graduate of Ellison High School, the Class of 2000. She pursued her education with dedication earning her Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Education and always striving for excellence. Her passion for learning not only shaped her career but also inspired those around her to seek knowledge and growth. Meyanna worked for the Killeen Independent School District for over a decade. She spent the past 3 years as a 3-year-old Pre-Kindergarten Teacher and loved everything about her career and her classroom. Meyanna was an incredible mentor and impacted the lives of many students and fellow colleagues. She loved helping people and was very active in the community.

Mrs. Adams departed this life on Friday, September 27, 2024, in Temple, Texas. She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband, Clyde Tyrone Adams, Jr., one daughter, Aniyah Antrese Adams of Killeen, TX; loving parents, Alfred Wallace Sr. and Patricia Wallace; mother and father in law, Teresa Blount (Wesley) of Killeen, TX and Clyde Adams, Sr (Darlene) of Fort Bend, GA; sisters, Alicia Wallace and Latrisha Wallace of Killeen, TX and  one brother, Alfred Wallace Jr.; two brother-in-laws, Calvin L. Greene and Clyde Rew, one nephew, Jeremiah Khi’Ari Merriweather  and a host of other relatives and friends.
