Mamie Louise Bell

Temple

On Friday, June 18, 2021, God called our beloved Mamie Louise Bell home. She was born November 20, 1922 to the late Ebbie Menifee and Mamie Allen in Anderson, Texas.  She received her early childhood education in Piney Woods School and Richards High School in Richards, Texas.

On February 3, 1940, she married Ezra Bell in Grimes County.  Mrs. Bell moved to Temple, Texas in 1942. She later married Roy Lemons.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age.  Upon moving to Temple, Texas she established her membership with St. James United Methodist Church where she was the Birthday Song Leader the1st of every month to Celebrate the Monthly Birthdays as well as the let Spirit her into Praise. She was a member of the Lay Ministry Team, St. James Voices Choir, Prayer Ministry, Communion Steward , and United Methodist Women.  Mrs. Bell was also a member of the Heroines of Jericho, and regularly attended activities at the Friendship House where she was a member of the Friendship House  Choir.

Mrs. Bell worked Ramona Courts, Scott and White Hospital, and VA Hospital for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ebbie Menifee, jr.; niece, Joyce Davis; and son-in-love, Joe McBride.

Mrs. Bell leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Oscar Lee Bell (Wanda) of Temple, TX, Thomas E. Bell (Sandra) of Temple, TX, Byron Lemons of Fort Worth, TX; two daughters, Georgia McBride of Temple, TX, Paula Norwid (Mark) of Waco, TX, 11 grandchildren, Darrell McBride (Doris), Kevin McBride, Chanda Bell, Erika McBride, Sean Bell, Cicily Bell, Cherrie Bell, Jade Norwid-Harris (Ronald), Victor Norwid, Naomi Norwid, Daniel Norwid; 13 great-grandchildren, Darrell Jr., DionJa, DeDreon, DeDriell, Delante, Vaderik, Ar’Mondrae, DaiAashinae, Kevin, Saniyah, DaRavion, DaQuavion, Kyrie; 5 great great-grandchildren, D’Ayla, Dalayah, D’Adrian, De’Niyla, Brodrick and, DeDriell, Jr. and a host of other relative and friends.
