Kamiyah Nicole Wright

Kamiyah Nicole Wright Kamiyah Nicole Wright was affectionately known to many as Mick, Mickey, Dooney, Yetta, Slim, and many other special names. We will also hold on to all the nicknames SHE gave us like Bee, Shay-Shay, Tiana, That Kid (her sister), and Miyah for herself. She left this world far too soon on June 22, 2025.

She was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her and her sudden departure at the tender age of 16 has left an indelible mark that broke the hearts of all that knew her, loved her, and were excited to see the young lady that she was becoming.

On April 28, 2009. It might have been the best day little old Temple, TX had seen. It was definitely a great day for her mother Tiquirra Greene & father, Davion Wright.

Kamiyah was preceded in death by her great grandfather Vernon Jerome, great-great grandparents Helen and Bolton Dailey, and her aunt Kristanae Wright.

As a sophomore at Lake Belton High School Kamiyah excelled academically and was a proud member of the track team. Although she was athletic that didn’t take away from her girliness because she was all about smelling good and looking good, she took pride in pampering herself.

Kamiyah cherished time spent with her family and hanging out with her friends especially when it came to food. She knew what she wanted for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as soon as she opened her eyes. Her and her Pawpaw Michael frequently took trips to Dutch Bros for a Cotton Candy Rebel.

Kamiyah’s life although cut short she had big dreams and plans for her future to go to Tarleton State University to become an ultrasound tech.

Kamiyah leaves to cherish her memory her mother Tiquirra Greene, father Davion Wright maternal grandparents Stacy and Michael Smith paternal grandparents Davy and Benita Wright, maternal great grandparents Shirley Tisdale (Adrian), sisters Za’kariyah Williams, Kaylee and Eternity Wright brothers Zavion and Dash Wright and a host of family members and friends.
