John Alvin Tidwell, Sr.

John Alvin Tidwell was born to Carl Tidwell and Sylvester Evans Tidwell in

Rosston, Arkansas on November 18,1942.  He graduated from McRae High School

in Prescott, Arkansas. He married Bettye McGough in 1962 and five children were

born to this union. He was a  cook at Coy Martin Drive Inn ,Santa Fe Hospital,

Temple Products, and Fleetwood Mobile Homes before retiring.

He married Ruthie Parker in 1977 in Temple, Texas. She preceded him in death in

2019. He was also preceded by his parents, 2 brothers: Ollie V. Tidwell and Basil Tidwell

2 sisters Gloria Welch and Mae Tidwell and 1 son Alan Keith Thompson

He is survived by 2 sons, John Tidwell, Jr (Rita), Royce Tidwell ( Shawn) 3 Daughters

Regina Freeman and Sharon Townson of Temple, Texas, Sylvia Traeger (Dan ) of

Racine, Wisconsin. 1 Sister Katherlean Brown of Prescott, Arkansas  2 brothers

Ira D. Tidwell of Temple,Texas and Odell Tidwell ( Sally ) of Rockford, Illinios. He has grandchildren, great grand children ,great great grand children and a host of nieces,

nephews and friends.
