John L (Mann) Johnson, Jr

John L. Johnson Jr. (aka Mann) was born in Temple, Texas on April 16, 1976 to John L. and Patricia A. Whitfield Johnson. He attended and graduated from Connally High School in Lacy Lakeview, Texas. Mann attended Nursing School at McLennan Community College. He also served in the U.S. Navy for two years and Naval Reserves for six years. Mann attended Technical State Technical College (TSTC) and achieved the Deans List as well as his degree.

Mann enjoyed working on small projects such as refurbishing old and used vehicles to working order. He loved computers, electronics and was very hands-on. Mann enjoyed updating his grandmother’s family home in Rosebud, Texas which included various projects. Mann enjoyed landscaping, traveling, history and was very good at research. He especially loves movies, Jeopardy and was an avid listener of ole’ skool music. Mann was a very spontaneous and easy-going person and he loved his family more than anything in this world.

Mann was preceded in death by his Grandfather R.J. Whitfield, Sr., his Grandmother Lula Bell and his Uncle Earl.

Mann is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Whitfield Johnson, his father John L. Johnson, Sr., maternal grandmother, Marjorie L. Whitfield, three Aunts : Kathryne R. Whitfield Ford, Jackie Hawkins (Roland), Cynthia Payne (Jody). Seven uncles: R.J. Whitfield, Jr., Billy Whitfield (Irma), James Whitfield (Ashley), Anthony Whitfield, Jerome Johnson, Iodes Johnson (Debbie). He also leaves behind a host of cousins, and friends.
