Jewell Was born 07/20/1950 in Temple, Texas to Johnnie Mae Booker and Jewel Mayes.

Jewell was Raised in Temple Texas where she  attended Dunbar High and she worked for many years at The Four Seasons Nursing Home Country Club and Southlanded Villa Nursing Home.

Jewell Married Willie Arthur Thompson in 1970 and she later married Alvin Slider in 1986.

She was Preceded in death by  Johnnie Mae Booker and Jewel Mayes, Alvin Slider, Marshalle Evette Thompson Rector, Larry Booker, Debra Taylor ( Dixie) and Shirlee Brown.

Jewell is survived  by one daughter , La Shaun Thompson of Temple, Tx; one son Rodrick Dewayne Thompson ( Elaine) of Oklahoma City, Ok; two brothers  Euell Booker, Bobby Ray Booker all of Temple, Tx.; one sister Jerline Singleton; Seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
