Georgia Anderson Mayse

Georgia Anderson Turner Mayse, a devoted servant of God, loving mother, and faithful witness of the Lord Jesus Christ,was called home to her eternal rest on September 1, 2026. She was born December 22, 1945, to Ada Evans Anderson and George Anderson in Waelder, Tx. She was educated at Booker T Washington in Bartlett, Tx. Following her God-given calling to care for others, Georgia dedicated much of her life to serving those in need. She worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant, providing compassionate care and comfort to countless individuals and families. Georgia pursued higher education at the age of 50, demonstrating remarkable determination and perseverance. She earned her Degree as a Registered Dietician at McClennan Community College and TSTC in Waco. TX. She went on to use her knowledge and caring spirit in her work at Temple Care Center for several years and later at Will-O- Bell Nursing Home Inc. for 23 plus years before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands Sim Turner and Richard Mayse. From her union with Sim Turner, five children were born, each of whom remained a cherished part of her life's legacy. Following Sim's passing, she later married Richard Mayse, who also preceded her in death.She was also preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers, Joe T None and Calvin Anderson, sisters, Reci Bell McBride, Amanda and Margaret, one daughter, Patricia Ann Turner, two sons, Reginald and Bruce Turner.A devoted woman of faith, Georgia loved the Lord and lived her life according to Christian principles.Georgia gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined Holy Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Reverend R.M. White and Langston B. Williams. As a faithful member of Holy Temple, she served as Purity Lady, Hospitality, Trustee, Finance Officer and Church Mother. She served faithfully in these positions until August 11, 2024 when she moved her membership to New Life Foundation Church of God in Christ. At New Life she was appointed Church Mother and a member of the Church Council. She worshipped, served, and encouraged others through her spirit and unwavering trust in God. Georgia was a True Woman of God who loved the Lord. She looked forward to attending the National Church Convention and The International Women's Convention. She gracefully served until her health began to decline but faithfully supported her church financially.She will be remembered for her loving heart, strength, wisdom, generosity, and the countless lives she touched. Whether through her words of encouragement, home-cooked meals, prayers, or acts of kindness, she demonstrated Christ's love in all she did. Georgia was a stylish and elegant woman whose beauty radiated from the inside out. She enjoyed shopping and dressing with dignity and confidence, but greatest fashion statement was her generous heart. She believed blessings were meant to be shared. She leaves to cherish her memory children; Gregory Neal Turner of Houston, Texas, Eloise Binder (Quintus), Tammie McCoy (Dave) all of Bartlett, Texas, Tavata Jackson (Travis) of Temple, Texas; God-Daughter, Sonya Clark, God-sons, Bryan Glover (Juanita) , Wesley Glover and Mark Glover (Misty).Grandchildren; Damion Turner, Gabriel Turner(Tiffany), James Turner (Amanda), Jordan Turner (Courtney) Latoya Smith-Polynice, Stephanie Page, Anika Bell, Vanessa Crathers, Simmon Turner (Candice), Sharel Crathers, Tanique Belcher ,Shaquoya Martin (Ledon) , Keyshawn Johnson, Taniya McCoy, Britney McCoy, Deontrae McCoy, Ashton Jackson, Meghan Jackson, Meling, Meya, Markeya, Michael, Mark Glover, Xavier Wilson, Samantha and Crystal Binder.Great-Grandchildren; Tyson, Kamdon, Deacon, and Tucker Turner, Myles and James Jr, Turner, JA’Viere Polynice, Eric Jr, Hayden, and Eyan Page, Adajah Ferrer, Zion, Ava, Jayden, Amiya Bell, La'Niya Underwood, Jayden Harrison, Michael Parker, Travellis, Cayden, and A'brielle Harrison, Simmaya Turner, Mason and Jaxon Belcher, Madison Oats, Mer'Khari and Zielle Martin, Kirsten High, Jaiden Hardges. Siblings; Bobbie Ruth Johnson of Ft Worth, Dorothy Starling of Copperas Cove, Bobbie Ruth Lott of North Carolina, Linda Dukes (Fred) of Del Valle. A host of nieces, nephews and extended family which she loved dearly.
