Daylan Dewane Dixon was born February 11, 1997, to Gerald Dewain Dixon and Tynna Gayle Dixon. Daylan attended Moody Elementary, Woodway Elementary, Woodway Middle School, and Midway High School. Daylan graduated from Midway High School May, 2015. At Midway HS, Daylan played basketball and ran Track. Daylan’s work history included H-E-B, Target, Dr. Pepper and Caterpillar.

Daylan accepted Christ at and early age at Kell’s Branch United Methodist Church, Whitehall, TX. Throughout his life, he attended Hopewell Baptist Church, Whitehall, TX, St James United Methodist Church Temple and Waco, TX and Wesley United Methodist Church, in Waco, TX. He served as an usher at Wesley United Methodist Church Pastored by his Mother, Rev. Tynna Dixon.

Daylan and his older brother Aundre enjoyed the outdoors, riding around, and spending time together. Daylan loved fishing and hunting. Daylan also loved working with his hands and fixing things. Daylan never met a stranger; and had lots of friends. He was willing to help out in whatever ways he could. He was known for his “Spirit of Excellence.” Daylan was classy and had a progressive sense of personal style. He was loving, kind, and easy to love. Everybody loved Daylan!

Daylan is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Jerry and Lola Dixon, and twin brothers, Jordan and Jerrod Dixon.

Daylan is survived by his Mother, Pastor Tynna Dixon, his Father, Gerald Dixon, brothers; two Aundre Dewayne Dixon, Christian Hicks; one sister Kaisa Dixon, one niece Amaya Wilson, his best friend and girlfriend of 6 years, Kayla O’Neal, Maternal Grandparents, M.C. and Sandra Thomas, Maternal Uncles: Kelvin Thomas (Renee) and Spivey Thomas (Ursula), Paternal Uncles: Jerry Lee Dixon, Thomas Dixon, Lonnie Dixon (Barbara), Rickey Dixon, Douglas Dixon, Donnis Dixon.  Paternal Aunts:  Joy Hurt (Henry), Lola Thomas (Tommy), Connie Johnson (Robert), Doris Bowers, Jackie Sandefur (Joe), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
