A Time to be Born:
Darrius Marquell Johnson was born April 4, 1996, in Temple, Texas. He was the first child born to Anthony Johnson and Kendra Beck.
A Time to Plant:
Darrius was known as “D-Mo” by many friends. He was educated in Temple Independent School District, Geary County in Junction City, Kansas, and Killeen Independent School District, attending Shoemaker High School.
Darrius attended Open Door Community Church and Chosen Generation Ministries as a youth. Years later he rededicated his life to Christ, and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 2017, Temple, Texas.
A Time to Love and Laugh:
Darrius possessed a kind and loving heart towards his younger siblings Darrius and Demilia, for children, friends and family. Darrius loved drawing, skateboarding, and had a beautiful singing gift. Darrius’ passion for art inspired him to pursue his artistic gift as a talented tattoo artist in Austin, TX and Killeen, TX.
A Time to Replant:
Darrius’ relationship with his mother, younger sister, Demilia, and younger brother, Deazon evolved more deeply when he moved back home to Killeen, Texas in 2024. Darrius touched many lives as a loved babysitter to friends and families’ children, a quiet and calm spirit, and bright smile, often referred to as “Smiley.” Darrius continued to show generosity to those he loved.
Darris was employed by Dairy Queen, Killeen, TX.
A Time for Peace:
On November 9, 2024, a Host of Angels escorted him back to be in the presence of his Lord and Creator.
A Time to Mourn:
His grandfather Andrew Anthony Wright is proceeded in the death. Darrius leaves his parents to cherish his precious memory, Anthony Johnson and Kendra Beck Eboigbodin; Great grandparents: Samuel Blocker and Evylena Blocker; Grandparents: Frankie Mosley and Eddie Mosley, Gilbert Beck Sr., Jacqueline Blocker and Gary Patterson; siblings: brother, Deazon Johnson; sister, Demilia, Jimmerson; brothers: Anthony Johnson, Tremaine Mathis, and Braylon Johnson; sisters: Nae Johnson, Adaysha Johnson, and Akia Delk; Uncles: Quincy Johnson, Andre Johnson, Kevin Medlock, Gilbert Beck Jr., and Jarrod Beck; Aunts: Shameka Johnson Dobbins, Tamesa Gamble and a host of great aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, co-workers, and dear friends.
