Darritt James Crathers was born on July 6, 1965, in Bartlett, TX, to the union of S.P. Crathers Jr. and Dorothy Mae Crathers. He was introduced to Christ at an early age, accepted Him, and united with St. Stephens AME Church, where he was baptized on May 3, 2009.
Darritt attended Bartlett Independent School District and graduated on May 24, 1984. A passionate sports fan, Darritt loved the game and was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers supporter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, S.P. and Dorothy Crathers, and his brother, Clarence Crathers.
