Carolyn Kay Riggins, maiden name Carolyn Kay Mack, was born to Charles Haynes Jr. and Gertrude Mack on August 22, 1950 in Temple, TX. She departed this earth Oct. 24, 2020, cause of death to be determined.
Carolyn attended schools in Seguin, Texas until moving to Temple, TX for her high school years. She eventually earned her GED and completed some coursework in Temple Junior College’s LVN program. Carolyn’s pride and joy were her three daughters. She absolutely loved to laugh and enjoyed helping others, in which she did throughout her work with nursing homes, KMart, and Edu-care. In her later life she enjoyed retirement, her family and her favorite hobby BINGO.
Carolyn accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. She was baptized in both the Baptist Church and Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles E. Haynes, grandmother, Thelma Hancock and daughter Shacondra A. Haynes.
Left to mourn and cherish her memories are her two daughters, Kendra Holleman (son-in-law, Jovell Holleman)and Gale Haynes. Her mother of Phoenix, Arizona, Gertrude Haynes, a brother and two sisters of Temple, TX Samuel Haynes, Gamesia Haynes, and Kimberly Haynes. Three sisters of Phoenix, Arizona, Kerry Meador, Patricia Sanford (Dennis Sanford), Brenda Westbrook, one sister of The Colony TX, Rose Haynes-Taylor (Anthony Taylor). Seven grandchildren Kylee Hudson, Reuben Haynes, Aaron Haynes, Morriah Collins (Gary Collins), Arrion Williams, Allen Williams and Arihanna Baker. Three great-grandchildren (Aaris Haynes, Aria Haynes, Amina Collins (due Jan. 2021) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
