Byron Flowers was born on September 8, 1963, to Doris Taylor Flowers. He passed away on May 7, 2026, in Killeen, Texas, surrounded by his family. He was the eldest of four children of Doris and James Flowers.An avid football fan and player, Byron played for Hawaii, Bartlett, and Killeen High School teams. He remained a dedicated supporter of the Dallas Cowboys throughout his life. Byron also had a passion for traveling due to being a military dependant and was a well-known local business owner. He owned and operated Gil’s Automotive and Detailing in Killeen for 25 years, where he served many high-profile residents and customers.Byron is survived by his children, Pamela Lewis and Joshuwa Jolly, both of Killeen, as well as three grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Cassandra Morgan (Pastor Micheal Morgan) of Killeen; Charles Mack of Temple; William Thomas of Harker Heights; Lois Davis of Lake Jackson; and Alice Anderson of Bartlett. He was preceded in death by Doris N. Taylor Flowers, James Flowers, Alan Flowers and LaTonia Flowers, Marquise and Tatiana Morgan.
He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and uncle.
