Billy Joe Riley was born December 23, 1957, to Johnnie and Mary Riley in Temple, Texas. He attended Temple High School then went on to serve in the U.S. Army for six years.
Bill loved to player poker and shoot pool. He was very friendly and people loved his humor. He brightened up any room that he entered. And was so charismatic! His big smile and laughter could make a dreary day seem like a bright sunshiny day!
Bill left this earth on Monday, August 30, 2021, in Temple, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Riley; mother, Mary Riley; brothers Jimmie “Pinto” and Ernest “Pig” Riley; and sister Rev Barbara Miller.
He leaves to cherish his memories daughters Nykesha Quinn Hester and Nikki Cook, of Alabama; three sisters Johnnie M Harris (Eddie) of Decatur GA; Carolyn Riley and Judy Boyd, both of Temple, Texas. Grandchildren Jamir, Niyah, and Miyah Albritton, RJ Davidson al of Alabama. Nieces Teresa Davis of Greensboro NC, Jackie Hill, Dr Nikki Riley, and Michelle Pankey, Safya Foster, all of Temple, Texas; and Posha Mennis of TN. Nephews Steve “Two Two” (wife Alice) Riley, and Taron (wife Tiffany) Boyd both of Austin TX; Kenneth (Sharron) Riley, and Brent Boyd of Temple TX; Ernest Riley , Jr of El Paso TX; Craig (wife Kendra) Harris of Jonesboro GA, Special friend Kim Toliver of Temple, TX. And a host of other relatives and friends.
