Billie Wright, Jr.

Billie Wright, 65 of Temple, Texas passed away on March 20, 2026 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas.

Billie was born on December 8, 1960 in Dallas, Tx to Billie and Thelma Washington of Hearne, Tx. Billie was a Temple High School graduate.

A lifelong maintenance man, he took pride in fixing what was broken and keeping things running. Billie was known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to fix just about anything. He worked with several different companies within the Temple & Killeen area. He later brought that same dedication to Baylor Scott & White Hospital, where he eventually retired. Billie had a passion for fixing cars, fascinated with BMWs. He also loved to party and would always dress to impress. He will be remembered for being the “Life of the party” and always full of laughter.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his son Desmond Shell, who he loved dearly. His brothers Andrew Wright and Cedell Wright. His sisters Diane, Jewel and Janice who all passed before.

Billie is survived by his children: Four daughters Caterria Anderson (Nathan) of Austin Tx, Melanie Hamilton of Dallas Tx, Alicia Davis of Killeen Tx, Passion Wright of Temple Tx. Three sons Dyonte Shell of Killeen Tx, Dyondre Shell of Killeen Tx, Billy Shell of Killeen Tx.

Billie is survived by his brothers: Rio Wright of Temple Tx and Kenneth Wright of Temple Tx. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Evans of Killeen Tx. He is survived by the mother of his sons, Janna Shell, who was his best friend. 

He is leaving behind other extended family, grandchildren, family friends and loved ones. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
