Aida Bethea was born on March 24, 1954, in Boston, Massachusetts to Odell Bowman and John Bowman. She was the fourth child of four siblings. She began her career as a medical billing agent, were she later retired.
In 2008, Ms. Bethea moved to the warmer climate in Temple, Texas to join her late sister, Bettie Tillman and her niece, Paulette Smith-Kimble. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was active in the Culinary Ministry, Mary Circle, and the Usher Board Ministry as it’s residing President.
Aida Bethea departed this life on May 7, 2024, in Temple, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Odell and John; Three siblings: Fred Lee, John and Bettie; Son: Stephen; Nephew: Craig; Niece: Pamela; & Great Niece: Renita
Left to cherish her memories are two nieces: Lisa Smith, Paulette Smith-Kimble; nephew: Quentin Kimble, great nieces: Alicia Godfrey, Janee Leary, Jalesa Leary, and Kayla Majors; great nephews: Christopher Wilkens, Denzel & Di’Lon Smith, and Quentin Kimble II: Great-great nieces/nephews: Ja’mya, Jaydah, Jordan, Kali-Rose, Terrel, Tiana & Jackson; childhood friend: Ms. Barbara Weaver; close friend: Robert Menard and a host of friends and other family members.
